We have email, therefore we have spam.  <shrug>  If that's intolerable to
some, I'm sorry, the only known cure is to not have email.  The lumber guys
can put their studs away: I don't approve of spam, I don't support spam, but
I don't waste time on ritual grimacing over every piece that comes by
either.  Too much life, too little time for trivia.

Y'know, I've heard you mention that non-member postings get manually
screened, but I always forget that.  What sticks in my mind are arguemnts
along the lines of keeping the main list open so that newcomers, who may be
pointed there at installfests, etc., can get through.  So I was, uhm,
confused, yeah, we'll say I was confused.

Perhaps my humor went astray, too.  The "...and shut it down" bit was
totally tongue-in-cheek.

I don't care about the spam, if only we could lose the allergic reactions to
it.  Now, if there were more spam than discussion, that would certainly be
quite different.  :-(
