I recall COD has a rule that they will give free space to a group like a LUG but 
the officers of the group have to be full time COD students or faculty. That 
seems reasonable to me.

Well, I"m not really surprised by that. CoD is a pain in the ass to work
with. They genuinely don't seem interested in a good public relations
policy, and can often just be huge dicks for no reason.

That said, there are other places we can meet. Panera Bread has free
wifi, and often has space for meetings. There's one of those very close
to the college on Butterfield, and that wouldn't be a half bad place. 

I doubt we could do it monthly, but there is also the Naperville Holiday
Inn. They have meeting spaces.

There's lots of ideas for a place like this around here.
