I run Ubuntu upgraded from the old Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) on my Asus
EeePC 900A.  It was spec'ed for a 4GB drive, though I had upgraded to a 16
GB SSD. Looks like it's been merged directly into Ubuntu:
http://www.ubuntu.com/netbook but I could not immediately find a minimum
space requirement.  Worth looking into, though.
