Good Experience with Debian Squeeze

 Has anyone tried Debian Squeeze (6.0).  So far I have built a gateway/firewall box and a desktop.  The firewall box came together well but it was annoying that the Intel E100 drive didn't load by default (not free enough), but after adding non-free to the apt sources list and finding the proper package it loaded and worked fine.  (Fortunately the intel card was the internal interface.

The really pleasant surprise came after my daughter destroyed her XP desktop system with a really nasty piece of ransomeware called XP Total Security 2011.  After a few ours of fighting to remove it I gave up and tried an install of debian squeeze for laughs.  Since my upstairs computers use wireless, I decided to try a Trendnet USB G adapter that I had (i believe it is a Trendnet TEW424ub), wihch the graphical install found and allowed me to configure with WEP and complete the network install. After adding the non-free repository, installing adobe flash player, and the wireless management applet, samba, samba client, clamav and a few other things, most things my daughter needed worked.  Then just for giggles I decided to try the trendnet bluetooth adapter she uses for her Nokia cellphone.  To my surprise, it found the bluetooth and after a little configuration the phone appeared as a file system on the desktop.  She is able to transfer her pictures and ringtones, and to copy mp3s to the phone.

Debian has an app for nokia smartphones called xgnokii.  I was able to install it using apt-get,but it doesn't seem to do much.  It opens with a brief splash screen, but them seems to crash.  Has anyone used this app?  

Does anyone have a list of wireless cards that work well with Debian or Ubuntu?
