sub-interfaces are not VLAN trunking.  You can configure sub-interfaces
on non-VLAN aware equipment it just means they share the same broadcast
domain.  On a single port router connected to a dumb hub (not switch) I
can configure 100+ subnets on the router connected to the switch.
Sub-interfaces are merely logical divisions of the physical port.

I hope this doesn't sound condescending.  You have a lot of equipment
but need to learn more of the fundamentals of routing/switching.  You
seem to have a lot of concepts confused and crossed up.  When I taught
this stuff it took usally took 3 weeks and the courses were ICRC, ACRC
and CRLS (yes, yes this dates my Cisco training days to 10 years ago).
I still think 3 weeks full time with help is about right to really get a
good grip on the ins and outs of Cisco router and switch config plus the
basics of networking.  There are probably some free training material
you can find online.  Look for something that takes you through the OSI
stack and how bridges and routers work (switches are basically bridges).

Basic networking coursework (like I mentioned above) will teach you
about ports and how NAT works.  I've tried to explain that to Comcast
there is no difference between NAT and Masquerading but maybe wikipedia
can explain it better:

Don't get hung up on the name.  Masquerading IS NAT.  I hope this
