I don't think it's that easy.  I think all traffic for local
destinations gets sent via the loopback interfaces (no routing needed).
You MAY be able to change this using iptables but I'm not an expert at
raw iptables so can't say for sure.  This seems to indicate a patch may
be needed to change this behavior:

Good luck and let me know what solution you find.  Would be good for
simplifying stress testing networks.
