RE: SSL Certificates

I am facing a similar issue here and have asked the company that issued our
certificates (www.instantssl.com) - their comment
was that we need to resubmit the certificate signing request, i.e. the
server.csr that comes out of

openssl req -new -nodes -keyout myserver.key -out server.csr 

(if you're using apache with openssl)

They offered to transfer the certificate free of charge though, i.e. only
update it with respect to the IP address.

I'm quite happy with InstantSSL's certificate as it is significantly cheaper
than the other providers I checked and I never encountered any problems with
their mechanism

Hi all,

I've been asked to move a website from one apache server to another
(different machines/locations/ip addresses). I've got the rest of it pretty
much sorted out, but am having a little difficulty with the SSL Certificate.
The certificate itself (I believe) is domain name based, not IP address
based.

I was wondering if there was anyone with experience in this field that can
give a few pointers on what needs to be done in order to get the Certificate
working on the target server.
