Re: Intel celeron heatsink

I didn't have any problems fitting the heatsink to my LGA775 p4
processor.
 
I did find that there is actually less pressure onto the processor of
the LGA over the previous version of Intel processors.
 
I mean by less pressure by how much PCB flex or bow/deflection there is
once the heatsink is attached...  with one of our customers getting more
and more worried about PCB flex in our handlers exceeding 400 uE 
(microstrains) I wonder the effects of the mounting of heatsinks on
surface mounted components ;o)

I wouldn't be embarrassed - those things are a bugger to get on. I'm
sure the supplier would fit it if you took the lot down there. They
should have spares too.
