Did you check it out at linuxprinting before purchasing? They list a 1210 only 
and it looks pretty windows entry level model. The 1250 might be a later 
model but design and insides would not be a great departure from the 1210.

via cups using hpijs driver for 2350 series and quality is better than my 
deskjet 930C I have not bothered playing around with scanning and photocopies 
yet but some functions like scan to printer photocopy and taking input 
directly from digital camera are internal to the 2355 so linux compatability 
is a non issue.

I checked linuxprinting.org before seriously considering this unit. It listed 
the 2350 and it looked like a goer except for not supporting PJL which is a 
non issue for me and with this model. 

In general I've never had a problem with HP's both at home and at work our 
bookeeper hates them because of problems she's had with one at home (and the 
cost of repairing it).
