Robert, I hope you were doing your own homework and not mine;<)

I'll have a look later. Right now I'm trying to nut out an obstinate kfilm 
complile.

But you remind me that a very long while back I think you told me on mlug irc 
one night that you were watching tv on a pc. Have you been using either an 
analog or digital card and if so please revert as I'd like to know if you are  
saving mpeg-ps (program streams) to your hard drive and if so do you convert 
them to something else down the line.

This seems to be my sticking point right now. I've found a neat little gui ap 
called gopdit that makes quick work of clipping out unwanted stuff and saving 
the balance as a single file but I can't then process the file with dvd 
author.

I've been thinking that while sorting through what editors are available that 
I might get a clue or two.
