Hi People, I have recently aquired a Compaq Proliant 4500 server and external drive bay. In all my readings I have discovered that althought it can run linux, it is hard to get going with teh compaq smart array controller. I have been told that if I where to get a more mainstream EISA SCSI Controller I would have better luck loading up and running linux on this system. Currently it runs NT4 Server. Anyone have one of these old cards hanging about just begging to be pressed into service again? Hope you can help. Regards Mark
