Hi Rick
I have been wondering about this.
As the new administrator I was wondering if maybe the lists were quiet
because there was a lack of interest in MLUG.

A couple of questions for open review.
Is Linux easier and therefore requires less support?
Has the take up of Linux slowed so there are fewer newbie's?
Are the experienced guys to busy to bother now?
(I know my Linux Server support business has been growing all year and
doesn't look like slowing. Can't say the same for the Linux desktop)
Is MLUG becoming redundant because of the ease of use these days?
Should MLUG look at new directions?

I would really like to get as many views of this as possible, so please
everyone, post a reply.

I have noticed the same on the two other lists I'm subscribed to. One is

distro specific and always seems to quite down just before the next
release.

This and another have been quiet for awhile and I sometimes wonder if
this is 
an indication of linux getting better out of the box or that there are
no new 
problems which might indicate a more experienced user base and/or less
takeup 
by noobs.
