Quite true, I find downloading is simply more convenient.  No waiting 
(except for the download itself, and even that is only 20 minutes on 
the faster mirrors), and a few more minutes to burn the CD.

One thing I don't like is the trend towards Bittorrent.  While 
Bittorrent is a neat concept, I have to ensure that it doesn't 
overwhelm my outbound bandwidth (ideal solution is to configure 
traffic shaping), due to the VoIP traffic I pass.  Also, some places 
I go may not appreciate Bittorrent traffic (and I'm likely to be the 
one pulling the plug!).  Some ISPs also severely shape P2P traffic, 
so the end result is a much slower download than plain old HTTP or FTP.
