kubuntu question

Greetings,

I have successfully installed a variety of linux distros for myself 
to experiment with. Lately been using ubuntu and liking the 
experience. I tried to install kubuntu but couldn't get  wireless 
connection going at all. Wireless card is Dlink GWL520. Wireless 
works with XP in same computer - hard drives are in removable caddy. 
Wireless works with edubuntu - same computer different hard drive. 
Ubuntu versions are 6.06.

Any clues????
