PCL -> PS -> PDF on CUPS

Do any of you have some experience of creating a printer in cups that
does this?  I have just set up a cups PDF printer so that my windows
desktops can print to cups and create PDF' on a samba share which is
very cool.

I have one UNIX server application that only prints using pcl commands;
it also uses letter head overlays when sending to a printer.  Ideally I
would like that sent through some sort of filter so that it came out as
a PDF on the other end and got dropped into.

Anyone got a bright idea how to do this?
