No traffic downloaded to my General Account

Having upgraded my Subscription (over the Weekend)to include the General 
list, and having posted a couple of messages( recorded with responses to 
the Archive) I have not seen these messages appear in the  general list.
  This account is set up in Thunderbird.
Before trying it in digest mode, I wonder if others have had a similar 
experience ( perhaps I am being impatient waiting for admin activity 
after all I realize it it is only 48 hrs over the weekend).
In the meantime I'll monitor the Archive for a couple of days.
