MLUG Administrator Announcement to All Lists

Hi All

Please remember there is no meeting in December.

Some of you have noticed the MLUG site has been very slow lately.
It was due to a large number of Exim processes running.
I seem to have fixed the issue, but if you notice the site is slow
again, please let me know.

The November meeting was interesting with lots of discussion of many
topics.
One of the things we decided on was to create a blog here -
http://linux-mlug.blogspot.com for easy project co-ordination.
There are 2 projects proposed for next year. 
One is a Linux From Scratch (LFS) project, which would be great for
learning the nuts and bolts of Linux.
The other is a MythTV entertainment console project. This would give
those involved a fully functioning entertainment system at the end.
There will be more details on the blog soon.

For the last few months meeting attendances have been low, averaging
about 7.
I would like to get this number back up to the average 30-40 we used to
get at Fitzroy, so I am working on getting some interesting talks
organised for next year. I will post a schedule in January on the MLUG
site.
I think the old format of a 10 minute How-To and then a longer talk on
an interesting topic was good so I will try to set that up again.
If anyone would like to volunteer for a talk please let me know.
