A couple of months ago, I upgraded my laptop from Mepis 3.4.3 to Mepis
6.0. Despite the fact that I chose the option to preserve the home
partition, when I signed on and looked, everything in my home directory
had been wiped.

A few days ago, I was playing with a live distro on my laptop, and saw
that when I mounted my home partition from a CD with Zenlive, everything
which appeared to have been wiped was there. It is also there when I
mount the home directory with a Mepis 3.4.3 CD.

Haven't tried mounting it with the Mepis 6.0 cd.

What is going on here and is there an easy way to restore my files?

Lee
