Linux and Windows printer drivers?

I was thinking that there was a way that Linux could leverage Windows printer drivers. I can't seem to find any coherent information on that. Was it just a dream? We have a Minolta photocopier/network printer at work that I would like to be able to print to. (As a quality-of-life thing.) Minolta doesn't publish Linux print drivers for that line of products, just for the desktop products.
