Mandriva 2008 is out, including the Power Pack edition available on DVD. The latter is chock full of goodies; it even puts an icon for "Second Life" on the KDE desktop. Just what I need for my intensive work discipline. Seriously, though, it has tweaked rpms for the latest releases of both commercial and open source software. I'm just experimenting with VirtualBox. Does anyone have experience in comparing VirtualBox, Parallels and VMware? I'm installing XP on Mandriva for those apps which haven't yet been ported to Linux. Steve -- Stephen B.
