I looked into Python a while back and decided that is a language I would like to learn. I would not mind doing my stuff in Python and maybe PostgreSQL. The reason for choosing PHP for the NMSEA web site is that there is someone working on the web site that already knows PHP. The reason for choosing MySQL is kind of like that is what everyone else is using... Ok now after you prompted my to think about PostgreSQL and some more research, I think it is pretty clear that PostgreSQL would be a better choice for my stuff. The next question is should I do the NMSEA database in PostgreSQL? Can anyone think of a reason not to? Mars -- ============================================================= J.
