Thanks a lot to everybody who responded to my last email about an
electronics club here in Albuquerque. I couldn't find anything like what
I was looking for so I've started a new club. It's called the Idea
Propulsion Lab (http://http://ideapropulsionlab.org/) and I wanted to
invite all of you to check it out. I'd love to see Linux robotics or
electronics projects. Most of the tools I've come across in my short
time doing electronics have been for Windows so anything anybody from
the Linux community can show off I know would be popular.

The main inspirations for the club are MAKE: Magazine and
Instructables.com, so if you're a fan of either of those you're our kind
of people. :)

As soon I get enough people to sign up we're going to start having
regular meetings for people to show off their projects, ask questions,
find collaborators, have classes, etc. All that's required for
membership is interest in the vast world of these types of projects. I
want people of all experience levels so even if you've never picked up a
soldering iron, bent a circuit, programmed a computer, or taken apart a
household appliance, you'll be welcome if you want to learn.

Check out the site at http://ideapropulsionlab.org and sign up at
http://ideapropulsionlab.ning.com/?xgi=goZHHMN

I know this is somewhat off-topic so if you have questions, email me
directly or use the forum at the site. Thanks and I look forward to
seeing a lot of Linux based projects in the Lab!
