I've always wanted to use g4u (http://www.feyrer.de/g4u/) but ghost is just so much easier.  I hear there's a variant called g4l running around that does the same thing but built/tweaked for linux.
If you are not too particular about your software sources, you might try googling for mini-pe.  It is a Windows PE based boot CD with ghost, amongst other useful utilities, pre-installed.

Subject: [NMLUG] Final word on Drive "ghosting" apps for Linux?

Last year, we had a long discussion on tools for "ghosting" drives. What was the final word on tools for doing this under Linux?

Also, a KNOPPIX or other bootable CD to do this with would be a huge bonus for me.

Thanks!
