By 'in-band' I mean that if you're browsing the site and you have =
rights to add/edit content, there's a button there to convert the =
content to an edit widget, you make your changes, save and you're at the =
modified page.

Joomla! and XOOPS make you go to an administraton app to add and =
modify content.

I contribute to the CentOS wiki and I can create and modify content =
from within the wiki. I'd like that kind of functionality in a CMS.

  Define " 'in-band' content management."
  ----
  - Think carefully.
  - Contra mundum - "Against the world" (St. Athanasius)
  - Credo ut intelliga - "I believe that I may know" (St. Augustin of =
Hippo)

Both use a separate interface for maintaining the content.

Anybody know of a CMS that uses 'in-band' content management?
