Viewing streaming video

The local cable-access station (Channel 27) runs a streaming-video
webcast of whatever's running at the moment, but I tried viewing it
while running Ubuntu 10.4.1 and got nada. The station site offers
plugins for MS Windows Media Player and the Mac equivalent, but nothing
for Linux users.

I'm guessing that the show could be viewed by running the MS stuff with
a Windows emulator. Thoughts?
