SLUG's monthly meeting featuring talks and SLUGlets. Meetings are open
to the general public, and are free of charge.

General Talk: Linux Australia Update - Live!
This month will feature a live radio broadcast from SLUG and the
production of the LA Update podcast live at SLUG!
We will be featuring talks with both the Waughs, with Jeff talking about
his recent "Badger, Badger, Badger" Tour, and Pia bringing us up to date
on what is happening with Linux Australia. We have also managed to rope
Matt Palmer in to talk about Debian, and we have a competition to
announce!
Not only that but we will also interacting with you, dear listener,
through the miracle of IRC. Come along to the #slug channel on
irc.freenode.net and join in the merriment as we go live!
Special Interest Talk: Erik de Castro Lopo - Careers for Geeks
Geeks are often overworked, underpaid and under appreciated in the
workplace.
In this talk Erik will explore various avenues Geeks can use to get this
turned around so they can work sensible hours, get paid for what they
are worth, get the appreciation they deserve and get more satisfaction
in their careers.
As usual, SLUGlets will be running in another room during the 2nd half
of the meeting for those who do not wish to attend the 2nd talk.

* SLUGlets: quick talks and discussion of Linux and Free Software.
9:30pm (approx) Dinner
