Summary of the changes

Most of the changes are to bring the Constitution in line with informal SLUG
procedure. The exception is the change to AGM-to-AGM membership.

   1. Instead of keeping a list of the financial members' postal details, SLUG
will keep a register of their email addresses.

   2. Instead of notifying members of AGMs and SGMs by registered mail, SLUG
will be required to notify them by digitally signed email.

   3. All functions requiring writing (nominating proxies and the like) can be
done via digitally signed email.

   4. Requirements for new members to be nominated by existing members have
been removed.

   5. Members only need give one month's notice to resign their membership.

   6. Instead of joining for a whole year, members will join until the next
AGM. If they join more than six months after the previous AGM thier membership
fee for that year will be halved.

   7. Nominations for committee positions do not need to be given 7 days in
advance.

   8. Committee members can be removed after 3 months or 3 missed committee
meetings (rather than 6 months).
