SLUG Meeting: this Friday (February 28th)

Hi everyone,

As always, SLUG's monthly meeting is happening on the last Friday of the
month. SLUG meetings are open to the public and free of charge.

   When:
          Friday, February 28th, 6:30pm - 9:30pm

   Where:
          UTS Broadway

          Room: 6.322 (directions at end of mail)

     * The Usual Suspects - Starts 6:30pm
          + Q&A - "What has Linux done for/to me lately?" + SLUG News &
            Discussion

     * 7:10pm: Adrian van den Dries: "Introduction to Zope".

       From http://www.zope.org/:

        Zope is a leading open source application server, specializing
        in content management, portals, and custom applications. Zope
        enables teams to collaborate in the creation and management of
        dynamic web-based business applications such as intranets and
        portals.

       Adrian will be talking about Zope for non-programmers.
       
     * 8:00pm: Break
     * 8:20pm:

       Split into two grousp for:

        - Peter Miller: "AEGIS"

         or

        - SLUGlets: quick talks and discussion of Linux and Free
          Software

     * Dinner - Starts around 9:15pm

   Spice Boys (Indian) for Dinner. It's $20 for mains, around 30 people.

Directions to meeting

    From the corner of Harris St and Broadway, walk down Harris St on
    the same side as the Agincourt Hotel until you come to a reddish
    coloured building with a UTS logo, which may also be known as the
    Peter Johnson Building.
    
    Continue past a long flight of stairs, past the Union Shop until you
    see a small flight of stairs going up to glass doors. These stairs
    are before a driveway and the new ABC building.
    
    Go up the stairs, thru the glass doors and into the foyer. This
    should be level 3. Walk towards the lifts, keeping them on your
    right, until you reach a corridor behind them. Turn to your left.
    This should place you at the entrance to room 6.322, a large tiered
    lecture theatre for the monthly meeting.
