Hi all Some of you may have received through other channels the sad new that once again the Australian Computer Museum Society is to have no home for it's amazing and valuable collection of computing machinery. They have to vacate the warehouse space that have at Homebush Bay. This place contains some astounding Australian computing history. They have a press release here: http://www.acms.org.au/pr/acms_pressrel5mar2008.rtf But nothing yet on their front page. Here is a quote from a Slashdot story posted by John Deane: John Deane writes "The Australian Computer Museum Society has been collecting computers since the 1960s, and it has a BIG collection, but no financial backers. It has been asked to remove its "small items" collection from a borrowed warehouse by 1 April and it has nowhere to take the 200 cu.m of Aussie history.
