I have a NextG 1.8MB Telstra mobile, and, I'm connecting from a Palm h/held over bluetooth 1.1 I've tried downloading some emails with attachments, first, a 1.7MB email size PDF took about 4 minutes to download; today, I IMAP/TLS retrieved a 600kb PDF, email size about 826, it took about 2 minutes; I then SMTP/TLS sent, both sending and retrieving took about 2 minutes each I was expecting the Bluetooth 1.1 to be the bottleneck in this, but going by my IDT Calculator, that's about GPRS speed? for download, for upload, GPRS should be lot slower than this ? phone's display is showing a '3g' icon, though if anyone can enlighten me I'd much obliged -- Voytek -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
