windoze: bt disabled by windoze update

I have a blue tooth usb stick with widcomm driver on xppro;

following a recent windoze update, ms driver got installed and replaced
widcomm's driver, so, blue tooth no longer works as it should

I've seen this before, and, last time, found solution how to disable 'ms
radio' (?) to regain widcomm driver/app, BUT:

I don;t have copy of that 'how to', and, despite googleing, haven't found
that, or any other solution as yet...

so, if anyone is familiar with widcomm/bluetooth/windoze setup, pls let me
know (I've already tried diabling/removing/deleting ms radio in hardware
thingo, and, reinstalled widcomm, still no luck)
