OK I am going to splash out and buy a wireless logitech one, cables are
a PITB. I will put in the receipt to work anyway.

Reading the web pages pretty much any USB headset is picked up easily in
Ubuntu as a sound card.  Sticking with brand names seems smart
though :-)
