Matt, thanks for recommendation

I've now tried Norton, totally useless, absolute waste of time; (as was
avast-free)

eset, fprot and avg-free detected the initial-cause executable, but, passd
clear associated files, adaware didn't report anything either

avira-free takes the prize, fast, small ram-footprint, detected exe and 8
of luggages (not all luggage files, though)

avira real time detection was also totally superior, after installing,
just openeing the folder with malwares started beeping

whilst I guess running a windoze without any virus app isn't the best
idea, it seems that if I was running Norton, in this instance, it was as
good as having no anti virus app, in the last few weeks, I've scanned
several exe-parading-as-doc emails, Norton declared them all 'safe'
