I have an XP system with some user dirs/files that somehow are marked as
read only/hidden/system, and, I can not remove or delete them.

untagging readonly or other attribs doesn't stick;
command line 'attrib' doesn't seem to work either
files only have 'read/execute' selected, can not enable other attribs,

booting in 'safe mode' as 'administrator' doesn't help;

booting with BartPE and using the two file utilities that come with BartPE
doesn't work

any suggestions how to remove these files/directories ?
