Sony PS3 with PC LCD

if anyone is familiar with hooking up Sony PS3 with a PC screen, and, can
give me any tips, I'd be grateful;

I hooked up PS3 to Acer 22 LCD using DVI, that works fine (but no sound)

from googleing around, the PC monitor must support HDCP to work with PS3,
and, the 22 Acer does.

now, I'm trying to hook up PS3 to Acer 24 P244W

Acer 24 has 1 x VGA, 2 x HDMI, 1 x audio out, (no DVI)

but, I'm getting no video

if it's HDMI, does that follow that HDMI includes HDCP ?

or, is it possible that the screen doesn't have HDCP, and, that's why no
picture ?

if I get this working, I'm guessing, the audio out will allow speaker
hooked up to play Sony sound ?

anyohow, if anyone has any know how or suggestions.....
