win98 m/b audio

I've foolishly offered to help with win98 reinstall on P3;

there is no docs/cd for the m/b;
the m/b is Chaintech ? 60IV2-E100A with Intel 815 chipset

I've installed Intel 815 chipset drivers

how can I get m/b audio working ?

there are no errors in hardware browser (after installing Intel 815 stuff);
but, multimedia says there is 'no audio device'

any thoughts how to get m/b audio working on win98 ?
