I have to say that there is a noticeable performance increase with SSD's
from my experience. We've been rolling out internet kiosks with SATA
SSD's and they install (Ubuntu) and operate much quicker than
traditional drives. Did try one with a SATA HDD for comparison. I didn't
have a stopwatch but the SSD machines were noticeably faster.
