Nobody told me that until AFTER I bought it. There is no sane email client available. I've now realised that the blackberry WILL log in to a gmail account, but not squirrel. That's the mystery that nobody seems to be able to solve. Could it be some javascript version issue? We tried an iphone and had no problem logging in with that so it looks like a blackberry issue.
