Anyone have a dead IBM R50e?

Hi all,

My first post doesn't appear to have arrived so
I'm sending it again :)

I've got an IBM R50e with a screen that's cactus.
The machine if fine otherwise.

It has a 14" LCD

I'm repairing it for my eldest so she can use it
for school work. It was given to me by a friend
who can't recall how they broke it (strange that,
as I'm sure I'D remember if I broke my laptop
screen :))))

Has anyone got a dead machine with functioning
screen that they don't mind parting with?

PS I'm in Belmore. I don't mind travelling but
Canberra would be a bit too far! :))
