hotmail delays

I've got a client who is complaining of four day delay in email delivery 
to my system from a hotmail account.

Does Hotmail still suffer from this kind of problem? I thought they had 
fixed it.

I'm assuming that my simple one-server postfix system that's had zero 
down time is not likely to cause a delivery delay. Should I revise that 
thinking?
