Happy 25th!

Twenty-five councils in NSW have now voted to ban the use of caged eggs. They have all said that if only caged eggs are available they will not use
eggs at all.

Those councils are: Marrickville, Randwick, Cessnock, Holroyd, Newcastle, Parramatta, Hornsby, Sydney, North Sydney, Leichhardt, Mosman, Manly,
Waverley, Warringah, Byron, Coffs Harbour, Shoalhaven, Lane Cove, Lismore, Ashfield, Kiama, Hurstville, Hawkesbury, Lake Macquarie and Bellingen.

Some councils have voted to have a meat free day in recognition of the damage caused to the environment by the production of meat. Others have voted
to not use meat from intensive "farms."

All of them are in turn lobbying State and Federal Government to ban the battery cage system of producing eggs.



Animal Liberation has been lobbying local councils for two years and it is they who are leading the way along with supermarkets in reflecting what
consumers want.

Because Animal Liberation has kept the message of cruelty to laying hens in front of the public for more than three decades it is uppermost in
people's consciousness.

Please help us to continue this fight.......
