I've installed two wrt54g2 with dd-wrt with default power value TX Power 70 (Default: 70, Range: 0 - 251mW) the docs warn going beyond may overheat and cook anyone has any experience with increasing power ? for the reason of getting greater range or more penetration through brick walls: is there a real gain in increasing TX power ? what value to try ? risk of cooking ? or just leave it as is ? ------------------------------------- (hmmm, wifi roaming with dd-wrt seems to be as simple as setting two routers to same ssid/different channels, that was easy, thanks for suggesting this) --=20 Voytek --=20 SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
