Master research topic around Linux

Hello everyone,

It is time for me to find myself a research topic to do my masters and I
would really like to do it some where around Linux kernel. There are two
problems on the way; the first one is finding a research question and
second one finding someone to supervise it.
The only people in Sydney who can actually do that doesn't seem to need any
more fresh mind to help them so I am asking the community if anyone either
in academic environment or business world has something that needs to be
done but needs a volunteer to do the research and it happens to be around
the Linux kernel, I would be more than happy to hear back from him.
