Got an email about a securities register.   The interesting thing about thi=
s is the intellectual property search.

Firstly IP is not =E2=80=98legal=E2=80=99 term   see http://www.groklaw.net=
/ for a lot of info on IP.

Secondly the idea of searching for IP based on a code (trademark, etc)   do=
es not appear useful.

It is a worry about the whole idea of protecting IP because it only used by=
 large organisations to bludgeon smaller ones or patent trolls.   The only =
one I support are Copyright and trademark.

What are your thoughts on intellectual property rights.
