The committee sent out a request a while ago for in-depth speakers. One
of the replies that came back was from Jeff Alexander from Microsoft,
about doing a talk on "Windows 2008 and Windows Powershell". What does
the membership feel about having this talk?

Here's what Jeff said:

> Windows Server 2008 has made great progress in the areas of UNIX
 > interoperability and Linux as well. I would talk about those changes
 > and how the new OS is better in mixed environments. I would also
 > discuss our new Windows Powershell scripting language and how
 > its similar to scripting in Unix.

To start the ball rolling, I'll say that personally this doesn't
interest me much, but I imagine some may be interested in finding out
more, especially about Powershell. Some on the committee were also
hesitant about the fact that Jeff describes himself as an "Microsoft IT
Pro Evangelist".

Thanks,
