I hear we need an indepth talk for SLUG. I've this project, subunit,
which has been knocking around for a while - it started out at a codecon
a few yeards back, and I'd be delighted to give a talk about it, its
design, motivations and so forth.

Subunit [https://launchpad.net/subunit] is a streaming protocol for test
results. I used it in bzr to parallelise the test suite and make
effective use of multi-core machines (something python isn't
intrinsically good at), and to run tests in a massively parallel way via
amazon ec2.

Subunit is likely to be useful for anyone doing nontrivial automated
testing, particularly when distributing or otherwise running the tests
in a noninteractive fashion.
