I was hoping not to feature again quite so soon - we have so many talented folk in Sydney, and heck, many of them work in the building we're going to be at tonight. /me looks meaningfully at a few people. I hear some even have LCA talks they should be practicing :) However, if you'd like, I have a short - 30 minutish - talk on the bzr 2.0 compression algorithm, which myself and John Arbash Meinel presented @ a company meeting earlier this year: "Groupcompress, bzr's new clothes". Its all written, I just need to tweak the slides a little. I doubt I'll have time to update measurements etc, but I wouldn't expect significant changes - this part of 2.0 was much finished a while back. Groupcompress is delta compression algorithm we created for bzr, its single threaded, with a bounded O(changes) algorithm to extract a single text, single-copy extraction of multiple texts... well if you're interested.. accept this proposal and come to the talk. -Rob -- SLUG Activities Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
