This was my first meeting so I have no way of comparing it to what it used to be like, but (if I may) I'd like to take the opportunity to say thanks to all the organizers and contributers. I think I got a lot out of it, met some people, and had a bit of fun. There was a lot of choice and lots I wanted to do. I also wanted to squeeze in Linux Multi Media but OLPC and Booting options were too tempting. I had to shoot off early but the idea of a beer after the next meeting sounds good! I also mentioned at the beginning of the meeting about a movie that discusses open contribution online and government 2.0 - It's called Us Now, it's free to download & share and is well worth the time. Although I think the overall message of the move is a little extreme it's none the less interesting to see what contributive projects are out there, and Linux does get a mention. Also interestingly enough, Public Enemy are doing the same contribution/funding method for their next album as discussed in the movie.
