[activities] Volunteer to organize social meets for SLUG?

One of the recurring themes, both on this list and offline, has been
the suggestion that we have some regular social meetings - possibly
purely social, possibly adding a few lightweight lightning talks or
similar if we can find an appropriate venue.

For this to happen, we need someone to step forward and drive the
search for a venue, pick a date, and organize a meeting.  You'll
probably have noticed that the criteria I've listed here are a bit
vague, so you might want to spend some time fleshing out criteria for
a venue first - or you might prefer to dive in and try a few out to
see what works.
