(BCCed - registered attendees, who will not receive followups - if you're not on the list, http://lists.slug.org.au/archives/activities/2010/09/ should show updates) Due to the small number of registered attendees (11 definite, 7 maybe), and the small number of planned lightning talks (as of 1am today, http://wiki.slug.org.au/september2010lightningtalks dropped from 1 planned talk to 0 planned talks), I'm proposing that we make tonight's meeting purely social. To this end: -- We'll hold it in the Cafe at Google on level 6 - it has views, a balcony, and lots of tables+chairs. -- The room has a podium and projector, so people can still address the group if they wish -- We'll either order the pizza for earlier than usual - or just leave early and go out for pizza. Decision to be made by people who have arrived at 6:30. Talk suggestions, or alternate suggestions for what to do tonight, are welcome :) On Tue, Sep 21, 2010 at 9:45 AM, James Polley <[email protected]> wrote: > ====== September 2010 SLUG Meeting ====== > > ====Location==== > Google Sydney - 48 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont > > ====Summary==== > * Date: Friday September 24 2010 > * Start time: Arrive at 6pm for a 6:30pm start > * Format: Lightning(ish) talks > * == RSVP at http://slug.eventbrite.com == > * Suggest or sign up for a talk below > > ==== Details ==== > Instead of running two 45 minute talks will be having two sets of > lightning(ish) talks. > > For those who don't know what a Lightning talk is, it's a very short > talk to get a short overview about a subject.
